In
June, winds at 60-70 mph apparently caused the guywires to break.
Just above the 90 degree bend in the tower you can just see the bottom
of the DB antenna that served the WTC.

Within a couple of days Mark, N5SOR, Albert, and Brad (the tower climber)
had the repeater back on the air at a nearby tower that was undamaged.
Dark Canyon is in southeastern New Mexico and provides West Texas Connection
coverage to Carlsbad, Roswell and the Ruidoso area.
